Membership to the WFSA
Membership will be our largest focus and concern to laying the proper foundation for this organization. We will need help from carvers all over the world to help bring members to us. Please pass along this website and the organizations intentions to other food sculptors. We are only as strong as our membership.
Membership will be our largest source of revenue for the early years. By 2012 we would like to reach a goal of over 100 members. With in the next five years we hope to have nearly 1000 members. We know that these are hefty goals but we also believe that these are achievable. With your help we can create an organization that is our own and make it what we want it to be. A place to gather, learn and educate our new found friends.
Members will also receive a newsletter. The newsletter is the main focus of the board of directors and the executive director. We do need help from our membership, so if you would like to share some educational materials with us we would be happy to share that with the world. If you are not interested in sharing, then this organization my not be for you.
For those business that service food sculptors, we hope that you will be the ones to jump on board first. If you help promote this organization you will see a huge return on your investment. We will be promoting and attracting new members which in turn will make your market share in the industry larger. We hope that you see the potential in this organization and not view this as competition to your business. We are setting ourselves up to be a non-profit entity that will help create and educate a larger industry.
We also look to create list of places carvers can go and take classes. The web site will also have a listing of food sculptors that will list by country and states. We will advertise our site to the food service industry to attract chefs, event planners and possible customers to our site. By customers we mean someone looking to purchase food art, and they can find that someone on our website.
